Towards the end of 2011 I decided that 2012 was going to be the start of something exciting. Little did I know what 2012 had in store for me and the ‘Carpgirls’ - click here to find out more about thier first traumatic year.
Elaine Taylor is one half of
CarpGirls – a couple of
dedicated carp anglers
based in East Sussex. She
is a self confessed carp addict having tasted her first fishing experience at the age of 5 when her Dad would take her out on the river bank Perch fishing.
Now sponsored by bite alarm makers Advanced Technology Tackle, Elaine also manages a Carp water near Ripe and spends most of her spare time on the banks.
She makes her own bait and is a Level 2 angling Coach who enjoys introducing teaching youngsters.
Now we all know that many carp anglers are secretive and protective of their sport. Poachers and thieves are a constant menace so we'll not be giving away any state secrets here but we certainly aim to guide Sussex Carp anglers in the right direction and give them information and comment they can't find any where else.
We'll befeaturing Carp venues in this section, buidling up a comprehensive picture of every lake in the county. If you want Elaine to come and feature your fishery then get in touch at [email protected]
Local lady carp anglers Elaine & Debbie Taylor have made history recently as part of the inaugural English national angling squad that beat Wales in the first ever international all female carp angling competition.
