  • Top Dog Keith wins again

    Hastings angler Keith Sturmer confirms his status as one of the top competition anglers in Sussex angler winning two major prizes at the Bexhill Sea Angling festival

    After winning the Boat Competition in 2012 Keith followed that triumph up by winning the Boat Species Hunt by landing five species. This followed his success in the roving beach species hunt held earlier in the week.

    Keith ran off with the top prize of £250 for the boat competition which also featured success for two local female anglers, Susan wells and Surinder Cramp. Eastbourne Angler John Yates bagged the best specimen prize with a Bass of 7lb 10oz. Bexhill SAC junior Louis Macpherson came top of the juniors with 3 fish.

    Chris Ford (Pictured) won the Junior pegged Beach match, Keith Erridge and Mark Hinxman tied for first place in the Pegged Beach Match held on the first day of the festival although both competitions were marred by a marked lack of fish. The Kayak competition was won by Stephen Piper
